The Book that Started the War on Slavery
Uncle Tom's Cabin
This book was written by a white woman who believed slavery was evil. She shows how both masters and slaves were damaged in their personalities. Some survive; many do not. It is a highly controversial book because it shows the ugly thoughts of racist people.
